2010 Western Canadian Karting Championships
May 21-23 2010
Race information is now up for the Western Canadian Championships, Round 1 will be held in Chilliwack on May 21-23, 2010. Supplementary regulations and entry forms may be found at http://www.maxchallenge.ca/calendars.html - please note that the only way to reserve your kart number is by registering prior to May 14 (there is also a $20 incentive discount for registering prior to this date!)
If you plan on racing in a support class (non-rotax) please note that there are minimum pre entry guidelines outlined in the supplementary regulations. To ensure your class is included, please register immediately!
Saturday Dinner May 22: Steak, Chicken, Bakes Potato, Salad and Dessert. $15 per person
In preparation for the 2010 racing season the Western Canadian Championship, in conjunction with the Rotax Service Centres would like to encourage competitors to read the current regulations in order to be well prepared for the upcoming season.
The series will follow Rotax rules as per www.maxchallenge.ca and ASN regulations that can be found at www.asncanada.com .
Some of the highlights are:
New carb combinations
New airbox is mandatory
2010 clutch bearing and o-ring (mandatory for Steel clutch and Illegal for old style
clutch!)
Spec tire for DD2 Mojo D3, spec tire for Senior and Jr is D2, Wet tire for all Rotax
classes is Mojo W2.
Spec tire for Micromax Bridgestone YKC
Spec tire for Minimax Bridgestone YKC
Spec gear for Micromax is 14/73 all tracks
Spec gear for Minimax is:
Chilliwack 13/82
Spec jet for micromax is 125, 8.5 carb only
Spec jet for minimax is 155, 8.5 carb only
Honda classes as per 2010 ASN rule book. Bridgestone YKC is the spec dry tire while
the wet tire is Bridgestone only.
